Movies and what-not.

I've been up early for the past couple of days. :D I'm really proud of myself!

Anyways. Jan and I were feeling bored yesterday, and decided randomly to go watch Bruno. :D The line was practically empty at the counter when we went (we wanted to catch the 4.15 pm), and I noticed at the beginning of the line that there was a notice saying "Please present ID for Bruno and the Hangover". Bruno was rated MA 15+. (HAHAHA, I'm actually 2 years older! HAHA, ego boost.) And I was like hmm, they didn't ask for ID when we went to watch the Hangover! And I told Jan, and the thing was, she happened to not bring her ID. =/ =/ Oops. Deciding to try our luck anyways, we went up to the line, and the chick was like 'ID, please?' I handed mine over, and we tried to negotiate for Jan, but all was in vain, of course. She was like "I'm sorry guys, you guys look a little young? It's just policy, we've gotta see some form of ID."

-_-' Haha, must have been worse for Jan, since she's supposed to be 18 this year. :P

Damnnnn. So we actually went all the way back to Jan's place of residence (which wasn't too far, the whole journey back and forth took less than half an hour) to get her student ID and went back to the cinema. The thing that intrigued me most was that when Jan was trying to find some sort of ID to hand over, the chick was going 'Anything with just your birth date would be fine.' =O That's... crazy. Anyone can just make a fake ID with just their birth date and no photo and they could get in. Isn't that ... unsafe?

We were proved right when we went in, and Jan and I totally saw at least 5 people who were DEFINITELY not old enough to get into the movie. We were actually having a blast picking them out: "OMG! Look. look, another one - how the heck did he get in?" because even after we bought our tickets, and had to present them to get into the cinema, they asked for ID again, so it's like double security. We concluded that they bought tickets for some other movie, then snuck into our cinema which was showing Bruno. Come to think of it, I've never done that myself. Buy tickets for a movie and go into some other movie instead. I should try that at least once!

I've been looking forward to Bruno for quite a a while now, especially since I downloaded and watched the trailer quite some time ago! Of course, it was obscenely hilarious as expected. I defintely enjoyed this way better than Borat, mainly because Bruno's such a fashionista and prima donna! Hahaha. I thought his clothes and his hair was awesome. :P

Don't you think his hair is awesome? HAHA. I do!

Sacha Borat Cohen's one heck of an actor. :S How does one portray a gay fashionista (Can you imgaine how much hair he had to remove?) when one is totally nowhere near being a gay fashionista? He's engaged to Isla Fisher (for those of who don't know, she's the 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' actress), for goodness' sake!

Sacha as Borat in 2006.

To sum it up, if you thought Borat was awesome, then expect a just as hilarious, but totally different version of it in Bruno. But if you thought Borat was a crappy waste of your time and a movie that you totally did not understand, then I suggest you skip Bruno, too. Though arguably, it has a better story plot than Borat! And Bruno features a bunch of celebrities such as Paula Abdul, and the music recording he does in the end with Bono, Sting, Snoop Dogg and Slash was totally cool. I was going 'OMG! Bono! Wow, it's Slash! OMG, Snoop Dogg!' when it played ('OMG, it's Sting!' came up too. :P)

Anyways. Overall rating: 7.5/10.

One of the best parts about going to watch the movies in the cinemas are the free trailers, I guess. The trailer for 'Public Enemies'" has been playing for a while now, and I'm definitely gonna go watch it. Plus Johnny Depp and Christian Bale are both in it. :D And Channing Tatum! :D Other movies I'm watching out for, which are coming out soon here in Australia include "Drag Me to Hell" and "G.I. Joe". I've always known that every guy in America grew up with a G.I. Joe action figure as a kid, so it's pretty cool they're making a movie based on it. As for me, Channing Tatum playing the main soldier in it is enough to spark my interest. :D

I'm also really excited for the new 'Alice in Wonderland' film, which is sadly, not gonna be released in 2009, but 2010 is good enough. I am loving the cast - Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter movies!), Michael Sheen, Anne Hathaway, and even Alan Rickman (Snape in the Harry Potter movies!). Fun fact - the newcomer Mia who's playing Alice is an Aussie actress. :)

And since it IS directed by Tim Burton, I think it's definitely gonna be extremely awesome. Tim Burton is a genius. Though some people might think it's annoying that he always picks Johnny Depp to play the roles in his films (The Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory...), I don't think there's anything wrong with that. They make a great team! Another fun fact: Did you know Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton actually are a couple with kids? :P

Oh, I did more research and there are even more fun facts:

- Alice in Wonderland is the third film which Johnny Depp, Helena Bomham Carter and Alan Rickman are working together in!

- Johnny Depp is the godfather of Tim Burton's kids!

Interesting. Movie to watch out for in 2010. :)

But back to 2009. Is anyone as excited as I am to catch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince?! :D :D It's coming out soon, soon, soon. July 15th. Yayyy! I've been waiting for this movie to be released for way too long, and I'm glad it's finally here. More magic, dark evil, humour and romance! Woopeeee!

YAYY!

It does kinda suck that I'm not in Brunei, because Bat, Billy and I (I know that the 3 of us are always there!) have always gone to watch it together, and we won't be able to this year! :( Sucks, but oh, wells. Nothing can be done.

The Harry Potter films are awesome, in my opinion. Those of you who stopped watching after the first/second/third movies are totally missing out, because the movies that keep coming out are each more brilliant than the last! The last book (Deathy Hallows) is gonna be split into two movies, so there are those to watch out for as well. :P

Speaking of Harry Potter, did you guys know that Rupert Grint had swine flu? I keep hearing stuff from my parents and Rhenda too that the people in Brunei are totally freaked out, and are wearing masks and stuff, and I'm like ... woah. How ironic it is that Melbourne happens to be the swine flu capital of the world, and barely anyone is wearing masks here, and it sounds like at least 80% of the people in Brunei are donning masks? So interesting. People need to lighten up a little about swine flu. Stop being so paranoid about it! I know I sound totally insensitive by saying this, but it's true. Take your vitamins, and go see a doctor AS SOON AS you're sick, and you'll be fine. It's not deadly, you just need to treat it in time!

If you know that you're sick, and you decide to not go to the doctor, then it's your problem if you do contract swine flu, because that's just dumb. -_-' I know, I know, I'm also one of those people that absolutely refuse to go to the doctor or take any form of medication when I'm sick, preferring to let the illness go away by itself (it does!), but with the swine flu paranoia going around, it's best these days to just go see the doctor. Just in case!

Moving on. I don't know how many of you guys have ever tried this - changing the settings on your Facebook from English into Pirate English. :P Look for it, it's at the bottom of the language list. It's sooooo awesome! HAHA.

All the pirate talk is damn cool!

'1 friend request' gets translated to '1 sorry lout thinks they're yer mate!'

'Friends' gets translated to 'Me Hearties' on the blue bar up there.

'Settings' becomes 'Adjust ye riggin's'.

'Log out' becomes 'Abandon ship'.

Hahahaha, freaking awesome right! Look around, and you'll find more stuff to laugh at. Stuff like 'See All' translates into 'Peer into the depths'! Have a try! Mine has been permanent for a couple of days already! HAHA. :P

Anywayss. I've ranted on for long enough, so I'm gonna leave you guys with a song that I've been playing on repeat ever since I discovered it last night. Enjoy, chaoo! :)

Cobra Starship ft Leighton Meester! :P

I'm blogging!

I haven't been doing much lately besides bumming around and/or sleeping at home. Which ... doesn't give me much to blog about, so you guys can't blame me! :(

School's starting in like 3 days. :( Noooooo. And just when I was starting to enjoy bumming around too. School starting would mean hell for me. This is because the assessments for Term 3 for the subjects that I take - Bio, Psycho and Media & Comm, as well as the compulsory subjects undertaken by Trinity students - English, History of Ideas and Literature are all...

ESSAYS.

The dreaded ESSAYS. At least 1500 word each essays, with hours of research and changing the word forms and synonyms (because if you copy directly, it would mean plagiarism, and that's a CRIME in Australia. -_-)... *rips out hair in frustration* Essays would mean I would spend hours in a library and online doing research, hours at home typing up my essay, meaning I would have no social life. :( Then again, it's not like I have much of a social life these days. :(

Anyways. In summary, I'm gonna hate school this term.

Urgh. Moving on.

I've been having a lot of sleeping-cycle problems. Then again, what else is new? -_-'

HAHA.

In fact, take a look at my previous day's sleeping pattern:

7th July - wake up at 7 pm.

8th July - Did not sleep. Went out shopping from 10 am till 2 pm. Slept around 4 pm. Woke up around 11 pm.

It's 12.53 am now, meaning I woke up not too long ago. =/

Screwed up right, the times I sleep and wake up! :( Omg. I gotta get my cycle in track before school reopens.

Hmm. On the bright side though, I really had a blast shopping. As I couldn't sleep, I had a nice long shower, had a couple of eggs for breakfast and decided to go out. The original plan was initially to head down to Border's in Melbourne Central to read magazines. For those of you who don't know, Border's is this bookstore where people just sit and read all day for free. It's also a bookstore, and people do buy books and magazines, but there's also a lot of people who prefer to read for me, like me. :D

After 2 magazines, my eyes were falling, so I decided to get up and walk around to stay awake... thus leading to a major shopping spree. :( I am broke again at the moment, crap.

It wasn't even much, but people were staring at me like I was a mutant while I was walking home with the bags. Have they never seen people who went shopping before? :S Geez.

I was in this shop called 'Whatever', which sells all sort of cool stuff (I like to go in just to look around), and I decided to get this in an attempt to make me save money, HAHA.

This cost like $6, so I'm gonna have to put in $7 to make my savings account start, I guess. :S

Shopping is awesome! :D

I also wasted money on these - 4 for $10. But I couldn't resist, because they are freaking awesome!

This one's my personal favourite, HAHAHA. ;)

These are all gonna be stuck up on my doors as soon as possible. I think they really match what I think! :D Except the 'fat' one laaa, cos I don't want any of my girlfriends to be fat. *cough* HAHA. :P

HAHA now, seeing as I've got nothing else to blog about, I'm gonna blab crap about a few random things now. :D In no particular order btw.

Okay I'm gonna start with my lava lamp kinda, which went uber crazy the other day.

EWW?!

Doesn't it look like I'm growing some sort of genetic mutant intestines in it? :S Yuck.

Luckily, it's sort of fixed and working normally again at the moment.

Also, in the past few days, I've finally tried orange M&Ms! :D

I think they're just adorable! No idea what's up with the white M&M's though, but they all taste the same. I like it. :D If you're not into chocolate infused with orange though, then these probably aren't for you.

I finally watched episodes 21 to 25 of Gossip Girl, and finished Season 2. -_-' I know, talk about slowww, right? But I've been.. busy. (A) Haha, anyways, Gossip Girl is awesome, and will always be. The last episode blew me away, Chuck was very sweet. For once. I'm sorry girls, I'm really more of a Nate fan. I pretty much detest Chuck Bass 99% of the time. :P

I gotta say, I'm really looking forward to Season 3. Now that high school is over and done for the GG cast, the identity of Gossip Girl still hasn't been revealed, and she's apparently one of them who's going off to college with them. And with the return of Georgina Sparks, and the new coupling of B & C, it's sure to be a very, very interesting season.

(Season 2 was filmed during the winter, and I was watching and totally adoring their winter clothes! :/ )

Oooh, kinda disappointed that the idea for Valley Girls (from Episode 24) was dropped. I would have watched that! The life of Lily (as in Serena's mom) as a teenager! Scandalous.

Speaking of which, don't you guys think that Brittany Snow, who played Lily's teenage self, and who also starred in John Tucker Must Die (remember that lame movie? -_-) totally looks like the Olsens?? I remembered thinking that even when I watched John Tucker Must Die years ago. :S

The resemblance is almost uncanny! :O

Hehe. Fun pic of the GG cast. Judging from their shirts, I guess it was during the US presidential elections last year. Notice Taylor Momsen isn't there, because she's too young to vote. ;)

Alright, alright. I'm sure those that don't watch GG felt pretty lost back there, so I'll move on. I've also finished that stupid Plants vs Zombies game! :D (see previous post)

I gotta say, the game really got better and tougher throughout. The new kinds of zombies pissed you off, the new kinds of plants got cooler. Definitely a must-play for you other Yahoo! games junkies like me. :P

I still think the whole concept is stupid though. We plant different kinds of plants to defend our garden, pool and roof from the invasion of different kinds of zombies into our houses. The sunflowers are planted to give sunlight which is used to plant more plants. There are zombies such as athletes and divers. -_-'

Gotta admit it's hilarious though, especially when you see how ridiculous the abilities of certain zombies are, but when it comes to hilarious - I think the end of the game really takes the cake.

At the end when you're finished, the zombies send a note to us saying they call a truce, and just wanna make a music video with the plants.

...

?!?!?!?!??!?! :S Whatttttt crap is that??!?!?!

HAHAHA. :S

The sunflower actually sings, HAHAHAHAHHAHAA. The zombies bob along to the beat. Omg, too hilarious.

The song IS addictive though, I'll give it that much. :P

Haha. Feeling utterly bored that day, I decided to randomly download TV theme songs, and it got addictive. All my childhood memories came flooding back, it was a good feeling though. I remember the days clearly, because we had just gotten Astro, and was totally hooked to Nickelodeon, the Disney Channel and Cartoon Network!

Some of these themes were awesome. These cartoons and shows were awesome! :D Let me take you back to some of my personal faves.

I'm so glad I had a childhood filled with awesome cartoons, which I can look back and reminisce about fondly. When I look at some of the stuff they show on TV to kids these days, I totally scoff and go like 'What the heckkk? These aren't even proper cartoons'. :S

Remember...

Hey Arnold? :D

Mummies Alive?

I loved Mummies Alive. I always thought the girl was cool, because she was the only girl! :P

Archie's Weird Mysteries? :D

Pepper Ann?

But let me take you even further back, to the more well-known classics. :P

OMG! Is there anyone of you who didn't watch Pokemon growing up as a kid? HAHA, wow the memories. What a classic!

And yeahh, Lizzie McGuire isn't a cartoon, but I'll always love this show! And the theme song! :D

Haha, awesome memories, aren't they? :P Haha.

Anywayys. I gotta get off, and this has been a pretty lengthy post. Ooh, sorry there was a lot to load in this post! :S Okay, till next post, chaoo!

Happy 17th Birthday to Andrew Chu, btw!

Huge update...

to make up for not blogging for the past week. (A)

The past week has gone by in an absolute blur. I spent it in a sort of alternating way - one day I do something, the next day I spend by sleeping, the day after that I go out, the next day I sleep... Yeah, you get the picture.

Butttt, to make up for not blogging, I do have a bunch of pictures to post. :D Soo I'm gonna start with last Sunday.

Sunday - 28th June:

I actually did something productive for once! :D Trinity runs a weekly newsletter, and I've sort of taken up to actually reading it every week, and around the time before exams, they ran a notice about this marathon called 'Run Melbourne'. Apparently it takes place every year, with runners of all ages and sizes taking part in 5 km and 10 km runs, and each person who registers to run pays a fee, which goes into charity.

... No, I did not run. =P HAHAHA. I would probably die by the 1st km okayy, so I did the next best thing - I registered as a volunteer to help out at the event instead. :P For each volunteer that helps out, this company donates $25 on that volunteer's behalf to charity! So basically, someone donated $25 for me. =)

I managed to get Vernie to sign up with me, and while she got assigned as a Course Marshall, which basically meant she had to stand on one of the spots along the race course and direct people where to run - I got assigned to one of the water stations, which meant I had to hand out drinks, which I thought was a pretty easy job. :P

The event started at 6 am. -_-' So we actually had to wake up at like 5 am, and walk down to Federation Square where registration was. Trams don't start till like 8 am on Sundays. -_-' I think that was the first time I've woken up so early so far in '09.

After checking in, we each got a red 'Volunteer' shirt, a lanyard and a sticker which told us where we were assigned to work.

Vernie's course marshal sticker. 'BAT!' :D

And mine. I still have no idea where this place is. They just drove the volunteers who were assigned there in a van.

Upon arrival, we started setting up paper cups on the tables and filling them with water. For some reason, it was insanely cold that particular day, and especially so early in the morning, so we were literally freezing our fingers off. I'm not exaggerating. I know most of you guys back in Brunei are experiencing really hot weather at the moment, so you can't really imagine it - but this was the kind of cold that was so bad, our fingers were to the point of breaking off due to the cold and numbess. =/ IT HURT!

(Around this time, Vernie messages to tell me she walked off from her job! Apparently hers was due to start only around 9.45 am, and she wasn't gonna wait so long, so she just went home. :O)

There were 4 batches of runners, and pretty soon, the first runners of the first batch (10 km run) comes speeding past.

Guy stopping to get water.

There were like 20 barrels of water behind us to be used to fill the cups. :S

What it looked like after each batch of runners. Clean up isn't that bad, it actually gives us something to do while waiting for the next batch of runners. Some people were really considerate though, they were all 'What do we do with these?' after they were done, and we had to answer 'Just chuck it on the floor, we'll pick them up later.' Bet it was fun for them to actually be able to litter on purpose. :P

The other volunteers!

I was probably re-filling some of the cups.

Taking a break. :)

The very last batch of runners - the 5 km run. This was the batch where there were sooooooooo many people, like at least 5000, probably because it's the shortest distance and more people can handle that than 10 km.

I liked this batch, because there were so many people - all different - and at least 95% of them stopped for water, so I gave out literally hundreds of cups to people. :) And it's really fun! There were also kids of all ages in this batch - from toddlers in prams (pushed along by their parents!) and infants to little primary school kids to high school teenagers.

I really adored the kids! The smaller ones were so shy and hesitant about receiving the cups, you had to ask them 'Hiiii, do you want water?' And they'd look at you with their HUGE blue eyes and nod very slowly. There was this time when a boy of about maybe 5 years old, and his younger sister received water, and when they were walking off, the boy sort of scolded his sister and went 'Sally, you should say 'Thank You', you know!' in a sort of know-it-all way. Eeeee, so adorable. :D

The early teenage guys of maybe around 13-15 were funny, most of them joined in groups with matching T-shirts, and a whole group would stop by the station, gasping for breath and going 'OH MY GOD, thank you!' when we handed them water, ahahha.

But, the best part about the whole day was when people said thank you when you gave them cups of water. These people are so nice! Here they are, practically dying from running, and they still have the courtesy to get or grab the cups (depending on how fast they were going) and say or yell out 'Thanks!' There were maybe 10 people who went 'Thank you guys for volunteering to help out!' to us volunteers. One guy even ran by clapping while yelling that. It really makes your day, it does. :)

Of course when so many people are rushing by (imagine the whole road filled with runners which is what it looks like during most of the runs) and you're trying to hand out cups as fast as possible while people are running by and grabbing for them, there were accidents that happened too. I hated it and felt pretty bad when someone missed the cup I was holding out, and he/she was going too fast that they had to keep going without water. =/ Then there was once when someone grabbed the cup I was holding out too hard that it exploded and basically I was showered with water. Icy cold water too. :( But eventually it got warmer as the sun came out, so it wasn't so bad.

Apart from medals being awarded for finishing the race quick, there's also a wacky costume award every year, and people really go all out. These guys were in suits with weird hats and wigs, haha.

I think two costumes that really caught my eye was when this guy in a full leopard suit ran past. Can you imagine a leopard suit in the middle of all the normal-dressed runners? HAHAHA. Then another similar incident happened - except this time, the guy was dressed in a Superman outfit. Complete with red cape and red underwear, AHAHAHA. :P

The last 3 participants eventually went past, and from a distance, I saw them and I was kinda shocked.. What was that blue thing?! Then as it got closer, I just started laughing really hard. :P

Look at it! HAHA. Wth is that?! But I thought it was kinda cute. Reminded me of Sully from Monsters Inc, LOL.

Amber and I took a picture with it, HAHA! (Oh yeah, I met Amber unexpectedly during registration, she was also assigned to the same drinks station as I was!)

The guy downed like 3 cups of water. He was going 'URGH! I've been in this suit for the whole freaking day! It's really hot!'. HAHAHA.

At the time, I didn't realize what he was advertising on his back, but just a few days ago, I discovered this ice-lounge, which we're planning to visit soon. :)

After that, the guys had to throw out all the unused water. I was kind of skeptical watching them do this - I thought Australia's apparently running out of water, and people are trying to save and all that. Why waste all this water? -_-' Out of the 20 or so barrels that were there for us to use, we used 3 at the max, and the rest had to be dumped. :S

Over the fence too, no less.

We had to walk back after that, as the van was filled with the barrels and tables and stuff. We didn't mind though, it was beautiful weather at the time.

Amber and I! Credits to her for most of the pictures too, btw. :P

This guy who we were kinda talking to who was also at the same drinks station. I think his name was Vu Long or something. Can't really remember. HAHA, also notice how I had already taken off my volunteer T-shirt.

Pretty scene. :)

That couple walked pretty fast!

Dandelion!

After that, I decided to shop around for a while before heading home, and outside Supre was a statue man!

He has a name!

Statue men are cool. :P I managed to dig up 70 cents to put in there.

Tuesday - 30th June:

Movie day! Faiz and I followed Rachel and Celeste to watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

URGH! I knowwww. I don't even like Transformers. I hated Part 1, I thought it was crap. So I was really extremely reluctant going in for this movie. =/ I wasn't excited at all, but I was just thinking 'Ohh, what the heck, everyone who has seen it says it's good, so I'll just watch it'. And you knoww what? I'm glad I did! Because it honestly actually did turn out to be a pretty decent movie. :)

The storyline was kinda crappy, but a zillion props for all the freaking awesome effects. A few weeks beforehand, I'd already downloaded the soundtrack and had listened to it dozens of times, and thought it was awesome, featuring tracks from the All American Rejects, the Fray, Hoobastank, to name a few. I though the first 2 tracks which were Linkin Park's "New Divide" and Green Day's "21 Guns" in particular was awesomeeee, and they actually used these two songs in the movie a lot. So thumbs up for that too. :D

Mannnn, Megan Fox really is undeniably hot. I'm really not so sure anymore about the speculation and rumors going on about how she's really a man who underwent a sex change at a really young age, but if that was true, well it really worked - she's damnn hot laa!

I chatted with Derek about a week before after he watched the movie back in SG, and he was like 'Megan Fox is so hot, she's gonna turn you les man. Especially that first scene when she appears, I really was like 'Woah.' ' That's a picture of that scene btw, I thought what he said was damn hilarious. :P

Anywayys. Final rating: 8.5/10. Watch it even though you didn't like Part 1 like I did, you may be surprised! I actually went home and became an official fan (yes, this late!) of Optimus Prime on Facebook, HAHA.

Wednesday - 1st July:

Spent the day mostly with - guess who? :D - Tony and Jespher, who are officially here in Melbourne!

Vernie and I really didn't know where to bring them, so after a yummy-duck-rice-lunch at the Pacific, we ended up in weird places like the State Library and Federation Square. :S

I think the State Library is a nice building!

We discovered the Chess Room!

Meaning you can't study there. -_-' Geez, what the heck?

Really awesome spiral stairs between floors that we were not allowed to use! -_-'

We used regular stairs, boo. Looked down upon where we were previously (looking up) and the room's pretty cool!

Noticed some sort of film crew / professional photography team opposite at the doorway. :O

Old school Batman comics! HAHA, totally reminded me of you, Bat! :P

Outside on the grass. The guys were really reluctant to sit on the grass, haha. :P I think they thought it was dirty or something.

It was actually kind of funny how paranoid they were about the whole being in Melbourne, the swine flu capital of the world, bla bla, thing. :P HAHA. They were like 'Omg, don't touch!' when we pressed lift buttons, and Jespher sort of jumped and looked around nervously when someone next to him coughed. AHAHAHA. It took a while to convince him that the swine flu thing really isn't a big deal.

A group of police just started walking around and talked to a hobo who was previously behind us for a while. :S Wonder what they were up to.

I was the spoiler who wasn't ready. :(

And Vern here! :( Haha.

Feeling totally bored, we decided to take the free city circle tram, which makes a trip once around the the city. What I didn't count on was the tram not ending up where it started! -_-' So we were kinda lost on Flinder's Street for a while, not knowing how to get anywhere. (Vernie and I share a common trait where we sadly have no sense of direction.)

Eventually though, we found our way to Federation Square. Joy, happiness, a place which we know of! :D Haha. Took a picture of the church opposite.

And Flinder's Station!

I think there's a permanent campfire on here during winter!

The Lights Festival has been on for a while, and I read somewhere where it apparently said it was gonna end on the 5th of July or something, so we decided to look around while we were there.

This exhibit was a popular one, with like people lining up to go in and see it, so we got curious and decided to line up too.
We only discovered quite some time after that what was so interesting about it was that the lights on each pole activates only when someone approaches it or is next to it, and that was pretty cool. Plus there were all these different colours!

So pretty when it was purple! :D

This kinda reminded me of Star Wars, like Obi-Wan's blue light sabre and all. May the force be with you!

As you can see, we were prettyyyy bored. :P

After that, we said our goodbyes and Vernie and I went over to Cephas's for dinner. Kinda random, but yeah, it's a long story. Ended up chatting, before heading over to Khem's for poker till late night with him, Marvin, Wooi Loon, Rachel, Faiz and Yosef! :)

Friday - 3rd July:

Woke up pretty early, and Hui Voon came over for a while. Then we went to meet Tony and Jespher, had lunch, and accompanied them while they got some stuff like pillows and blankets.

Around dinner time, checked the mail and realized our tram fines had arrived, HAHA. I wonder if Arrow's receptionist thought we were dumbasses - all from the same apartment - and all getting fined! =/

'Do not ignore this notice'.

Apparently, I'm Amanda Yap Tons now. -_-'

After a home cooked dinner by Vernie, we and the guys headed over to Max Brenner's for dessert!

Their infamous Choc-Banana pizza, which is yummmmmy!

Vernie and I decided to try out the 'Popsicle Fondue' which is basically fondue with chocolate ice-cream sticks. :) Also very yummy btw.

URGH! My fat face. :(

Them trying out the pizza!

Once again, the situation hasn't changed - Camera flashes still treat me evilly. =/

Tony and Jespher's fruits fondue!

Jespher carefully spooning white chocolates into his 'Suckao' drink.

Group pic! :D

Tony's [failed] sick-of-chocolate expression after that much chocolate!

That's the thing about Max Brenner. You can't go there often, all that chocolate will make you completely sick. And come down with a major sore throat too, I might add. But once in a while is good. It's delicious. :P

And yepp, that was how I spent the past few days!

On top of that, I've also finished Season 1 of Supernatural, finally. I must say, the show really got better towards the ending, and the finale completely blew me away, because it was so unexpected! Season 2 and 3 are ready as DVDs, bought off eBay, and Rachel and I are gonna have a marathon session soon! :P

Officially a new fan of these two - Jensen Ackles and Jared Padelecki!

I think they are just adorable! Jensen's the typical good-looking kind - big eyes, long eyelashes, whereas Jared's has the nerdy, cute, smart kind of looks! I can't believe I've been missing out on them all this while, because I never bothered with Supernatural until recently. :P

Unfortunately though, Jensen appears to be taken. Although this could be an old pic. :S Lucky lady!

I've always thought Jared's kinda cute though, from the numerous movie roles I've seen him in before Supernatural - like New York Minute and House of Wax. :) Did you know he also played the lead in this year's "Friday the 13th"? Which I just watched like 3 hours ago btw, and it violent and thrilling as hell! :S

After all these years, Jason still scares the crap out of me in Friday the 13th. -_-' I remember watching it first back in like Primary 4/5 over at Mel's place, and we were terrified little kids. :P

Jared also starred in a 2009 horror film - 'My Bloody Valentine 3D', which I actually wanted to watch at the beginning of the year, but didn't end up doing so because it had some crappy 18+ age limit or something in the cinemas. -_-' Guess I'll download it soon. What is with these guys and horror movies/shows? :S Hmm.

Aside from Supernatural, I've also been spending a good part of my time playing 'Plants vs Zombies'. YES, as in that super lame game!

HAHAHA. Jespher and Tony told me to play this. -_-' And I, being a sucker for any kind of Yahoo!/PopCap/Gamehouse game, downloaded the trial and got totally addicted to it! It's sort of like a war game, and totally ridiculous - because the plants and zombies have their own unique capabilities - but it gets interesting and more fun each level, so yep. Have a try, if you're bored too. :P

Anddd now, it's time for me to get off. I've been working on this post for over 3 hours. -_-' And you guys think it's so easy to read, but trust me, it's really not easy to post. =/ It's almost 4 am, and I gotta go eat, and go sleep. So yet again, till next time, chaoo people. ;)

Hiatus over and done

[Warning: This post is totally arranged in such an un-chronological order, it may be a tad little confusing. :O]

---

Happy Birthday

to Nat, Sze Earn and Augustine,
who were all born on the 23rd of June! :)

--

Sorry I didn't update much! As I've mentioned, I've been totally busy with exams! Thankfully, they're over and done w.ith. It really was a stressful period, I totally wasn't getting enough sleep each night because I was trying to study as much as possible.

Vincent wearing my Havaiana and I wearing his! Look at the foot size difference, HAHA. This was during a study session for the exams.

Anyways, everything turned out to be okay - except Media & Comm, which was on the last day, and is a pretty much crap exam. But to hell with that, I'm doneeeeeee.
URGH. I thought the post-exam season would be fun, but so far, it's been pretty boring. And it's only just gotten more boring because certain people freaking LEFT to go back home! :(

Lincoln and Rhenda left yesterday, and Darrell left this afternoon...

And Rachel and I came back about an hour or so ago after sending Jan and Aaron off!

Fortunately for them though, stupid swine flu isn't as serious as it is, and no one has gotten quarantined yet. Arghhh. Totally envy them, being at home and having fun, while people like me are stuck here in Melbourne with not much to do. :( Except stay home and blog.

I'm seriously already feeling the 'boringness' kicking in after everyone's left. =/ Vernie seems to be adoring the silence, while I on the other hand, am absolutely detesting it! So boring. So QUIET! Not many people to talk to, urghhh.

Not to mention, certain people who are staying back here like us as well are not exactly on the best terms with us at the moment. These holidays are gonna be boring and quiet - the total opposite of the fun, crazy 3 week-holiday after the first term. :( On the bright side though, the holidays this time are only gonna be about 2 weeks, so everyone's gonna be back here soon. Can't wait.

Butttt anyways, moving on. It's freaking winter, and it's freaking cold! -_-' I am soooooo not a fan of the cold. The gloves and coats are coming out, and so are the boots and the scarves. Ironically enough though, we've been having Slurpees and ice-cream!

The day right before exams started, Jan and I were in 7-11 when this guy came up to me and told me to get a Super Slurpee. I'd already known for a few days that there was some kind of Slurpee promotion going on where they'd give you a cute Slurpee shirt if you bought a Super Slurpee for $3, so I bought one, and then Jan bought one!

I got a Coke Slurpee!

The Slurpee shirt!

They were also giving away a "Freddo" each with the Slurpee and the shirt! :D Mmm, dairy milk.

We went into Swanston Street where a bunch of people were, and they also decided to get Slurpees too, after we told them of our purchase! :D Haha.

So it was supposed to be me, Fel, Lincoln, Aaron, Jan, Vern and Yosef who were supposed to wear our Slurpee shirts the next day (Saturday. YES, exams on a Saturday) when we sat for our EAP exam, but I don't know what happened, but a lot more people heard of the plan and wore their Slurpee shirts too...

There were a few other people who wore the shirt too, but wasn't in the picture, and one of them was Lincoln! So on our way to lunch, we made up for it and took a picture. :P

Slurpee shirts! :D

Darrel and Vernie took a picture too because they are unofficial 'dates'. Inside joke. :P

On our way to the Pacific for duck rice, we saw the randomest scene...

Kids climbing a tree outside the State library!

I don't know if this is pretty normal, but that's the first time I've seen kids climbing that tree. HAHA.

Anyways. As mentioned, we also have had ice-cream - on Thursday at Koko Black!

My order was the Chocolate Maritini - which is basically chocolate ice-cream smothered in chocolate sauce served with chocolate. :D Yummmm.

Finished it not too long after. :(

Jan's chocolate mousse!

Yuck.

So we were walking back on Lygon Street, when Rhenda needed to use the bathroom, so we decided to try out the public toilet cubicle!

It's so like high-tech, HAHA. The light blinks red on the Occupied panel when someone's inside, and everything's fully automated. Doors, toilet rolls, sink, flush, etc.

I wanted to take a picture of the inside, but we were kinda rushing, so no chance. It's weird - they even play music while you do your business. HAHA, think of the music they seem to play in lifts in movies. :P

After that, we went over to the Albert House common room for a while, and while Rachel was playing the piano, I was going around examining things and I thought something looked familiar on one of the shelves...
My old Bio textbook! :') Oh wow, the memories of me studying my ass off during O's as I flipped through it!

I called Vernie and Rhenda over, and they got high over it too - so high, in fact, that we actually decided to take a picture with it, HAHAHA. =p

The people wearing black!

And the ones wearing grey, which was like only me and Jan. :)

Anywayysss. Moving on. [I warned you that this was gonna be a totally confusing post, all mashed up!] I went to watch 'The Hangover' on Friday night with just Jan and Darrel. We were bored, and really wanted to watch it, so we went!

[Speaking of which, I've never been to watch so many movies in the cinema in just a period of half a year before! It definitely beats out the number of times I go to the cinema back home in Brunei to watch movies in one year. :O]

I self-proclaim it the dumbest but funniest movie ever! It's soooo stupid that it's ridiculously funny! As Jan put it, 'I don't remember a scene when I was not laughing!' HAHA. I don't even know how to describe the dumbness!

It's definitely funny though, I'll give it that. The plot was interesting, but I thought the ending was really bad. The place where they found Doug just seemed illogical. :/ Oh, wells. I'll give it a rating of 7.5/10. [And the baby was extremely adorable! :D]

Mmm. Yes, I know I'm fat. HAHA, I know, so random. But yeah, judging from my pictures, you guys know that I'm fat now.

It's ironic that I actually wished I would gain weight back in Brunei. -_-' I realize I do not wanna be fat. I'd rather be skinny than fat. People say I look better if I'm slightly 'meatier', but honestly all I can see is a fat girl, with a flabby stomach and flabby arms, and fat thighs, and fat face, and just... FAT.

It's not even funny. :S I've never had to deal with body concerns at all in my life before this [as in 'fat' problems], and all of a sudden... I have to. :O All of a sudden, my clothes aren't fitting as well as they did before, and I literally have to struggle to put some of them on. I'm at the fattest I've ever been in my life so far, and I really don't like it. =/

Hopefully, I won't gain any more weight as the rest of the year progresses - hopefully, I would even lose weight. :S But with winter coming up, and how I'd probably be home more out from the cold and stuffing my face, it's highly unlikely I'm gonna lose weight.

Argh. Life can totally suck at times. Then again, don't we all already know that.

I'm moodless now, and I'm gonna get off. :( Chaoo.

ARGHHH.

It's 5 freaking am. I'm totally supposed to be sleeping. (Or at least, studying) I said I was gonna go sleep 2 hours ago. o.O

Anyways. Sorry for the lack of updates, guys. Exams are coming up (starting this Saturday, noooo!), which sucks. My only motivation is that exams week will as usual pass by in a blur, and then it'll be time for the holidays...

Urgh. I really want to be able to say that I've been studying my butt off instead of blogging, but sadly, I TOTALLY WASN'T. :( Instead, I've been obsessed with maxing out my internet limit by downloading lots of shows - in particular, Season 1 of Supernatural. And then watching them right after I download them. :D :D (I also downloaded and watched the MTV Movie Awards 2009, which I thought was hilarious! :P)

Supernatural is awesome. (Y) Few episodes of Season 1, and I'm already hooked. I've always, always liked shows about people whose mission are to go around and 'hunt' the supernatural, sometimes with like cameras and EMF readers and holy water and silver bullets and stuff. Ghost Hunt also falls into this category, which is probably why I thought it was awesome, too. Anyways, do give Supernatural a try - though I would warn the weak-hearted that it does give a slight kick in the 'scary' department. ;)

ANYWAYS. I'm gonna end this totally pointless point by declaring an official hiatus from blogging (I know, I'm already on hiatus anyways by not blogging!) until exams end (yayyyyy).

Random note: Melbourne weather is, and will always be, insane. Last week was freezing, and this week it's been sunny days so far. It's predicted to be pretty sunny this afternoon, and damn cold with strong winds tomorrow. -_-' 4 seasons in a day, that's Melbourne I guess.

And also btw:

Happy Birthday to Yosef! :)

Till nex post, take care people, and chaooo. :D

OMG.

I can't freaking fall asleep! -_-' =@

Maybe it has to do with the fact that I woke up at 4 pm yesterday. It's an endless, sleep-late wake-up-late cycle, I tell you.

Arghhhh, the horror!

So anyways, since I'm absolutely bored and can't be bothered to study at this time of the day, I shall once again, blog randomly. :D

Guess I'll start with what happened on Friday.

Let's see. I woke up around 1.30 pm, and I had Lit tutorial class all the way in Evan Burge (which is a good 15 mins or so from my place, and that's if I walk fast) at 1.45 pm. By the time I finished showering and drying my hair, it was already wayyy past 1.45 pm. Woops.

Last period after Lit tutorial on Friday means History of Ideas lectures. Woopee. Thankfully, the lecture finished early, and we were totally free to go home! JOY...!

Or not.

!@#*&@(&#@*! =@ =@

ARGH! Of all days for the freaking lifts to break down - both lifts. I was exhausted and it was really cold outside when we were walking home. This oh-so-wonderful notice meant that we were forced to walk up 8 flights of stairs in order to get home. -_-''''

Mannn. I can totally notice how the lack of exercise over the past 5 months or so has negatively affected my stamina levels. All this time, I've been totally relying on the services of the lights to get me up and down in the building, and it was a total change to have to climb the stairs. Honestly, I only discovered that the Arrow building actually has stairs then! [Before this, we'd always wondered what we were supposed to do if there was a fire in the building, since there were no stairs and they always say don't use the lifts when there's a fire. Bimbo much, turns out there ARE stairs in the building.] So, I was panting from the climb by the second floor (no joke), wanted to die by the time I reached the fifth floor, and was practically dead by the time I reached the 8th floor. 15 mins later, Jan and Rachel dropped by to visit and chat. They showed up, panting and puffing too, from the stairs climb, haha! :P

So anyways, later in the night, Jan, Faiz and I were hanging out in my room, and Faiz brought up our favourite - Strawberry Sour Straps!

And we noticed something really stupid on it!

AHAHAHAHAHA. Thanks for the notice, guys. :P Like as if anyone bothers to count how many straps there are in the packet!

Anyways, although it may not seem very funny to you guys at the moment, we found it really ridiculous then, and laughed for a good minute or so about it.

As it was absolutely freezing, we decided to not go out for dinner, and instead order in from Pizza Hut. (Y) :) When we were downstairs collecting our order from the delivery dude, we also went to check our mail, and I was pleased to discover that one of my purchases off eBay had arrived! :D :D

Season 2 of Supernatural, ohh yeah! :D

Plus I'm over 15, and I need not be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian, yayyy!

HAHA. Anyways yep, for the past 3 weeks or so, I've been spending every spare minute checking on my eBay bids for Supernatural. It was insane, having to monitor my bids, seeing if anyone had bid a higher price than me... but I finally bought them. Seasons 1, 2 and 3. All from different sellers, and that's why Season 2 has arrived before Season 1.

[If you're wondering why I'm buying them instead of just downloading them for free off the Internet, the Internet service they provide in the Arrow building is somewhat retarded. It instantly stops the second you turn on a torrent program to download something. I know, I've experienced it one too many times. -_-' Therefore, I can't download any shows via torrents, and are forced to either watch them off the Internet or buy DVDs. :( ]

Anywayyysss! I know Supernatural has been around for a while, but never bothered to watch it. But I'm pretty excited now to start watching, because supernatural stuff is always cool in my book (I used to loveee watching Archie's Weird Mysteries and Martin Mystery on the Disney Channel! Fun fact, HAHA!), the guys are pretty decent looking, and I am totally bored and need to watch some sort of TV show for entertainment.

I'm only gonna get to watch after exams, probably during hols though. :( Booo.

Yup, honestly it's really sinking in that exams are coming very, very soon. In like 6 days!! =/ I am freaked. Mainly because there's tons of stuff to memorize for Bio and Psycho, and ... I have not listened in M&C tutorial classes since... the first week? HAHAHA. And my M & C exam's gonna be worth 15% of my final M& C grade. Uh-oh.

Back home in Brunei, I was never a "highlighter person" at all. All I did was try and read and memorize everything. Coming here, I was sort of shocked (Culture shock? HAHA) to learn that the Singaporeans and Malaysians were trained in school to highlight important stuff in their studies, and in multi-colours too.

Even though I'm influenced to use highlighters now, I still pretty much highlight EVERYTHING, as you can see from the picture, ahaha. Whenever people open up my Bio or Psycho lecture notes, they'll always ask the same question: "Wow, why do you highlight everything?!" or make the now familiar comment: "WAH! You highlighted your whole book!" HAHA, I guess I'm still sticking to my roots of trying to read and memorize everything. :)

But, yeah, enough about school. =/ I'm gonna move on the something totally different now.

Have you guys heard about the No H8 Campaign currently going on in the US?

From Wikipedia: In November 2008, in response to the narrow approval in California of Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage, Adam and his partner, Jeff Parshley, founded the "NoH8" campaign to promote the overturn of this ban.

So, the NoH8 campaign is actually a silent protest, in which Adam takes photos of people in the community, who support the overturning of this ban. According to the official site, it started out with photos of regular Californians who are in protest, but soon also included celebrities, military personnel, and of course, gays and lesbians. [Read more about it here.]

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, but I'm honestly with them on this. I mean, once you find out you're gay or lesbian, it's not like you can do anything and reverse it, you're like that for life. I'm gonna contradict myself here by admitting that I'm not exactly 100% comfortable yet with seeing same-sex couples around, but I do still stand by my opinion in which I think that same-sex marriage shouldn't be banned. Especially in 'liberal' USA! Why deprive gays and lesbians of love and committment to each other for life, just because they don't like someone of the opposite sex?

Anyways, I think the NoH8 campaign is really cool. People who want to take a stand against the ban just have to come in with a white shirt at the times of photo shoots, get 'NoH8' painted on their cheek, and take a photo! And at the end, when you see the overall gallery of how many people are against the ban, you really just get a feeling of wonder. A nice, good, amazing kind of wonder. :)

Ewwww, I hate Ashlee Simpson, but I guess it's nice to see that she supports the campaign too.

*sigh* So cute! I still love Pete Wentz! Despite how he, urgh, married Ashlee Simspon.

Tila Tequila!

I particularly like the pictures where there's something in them that's related to the people that are in them. Like this one of Perez Hilton, see how his laptop is down there and PerezHilton.com is actually on it?

And this guy is apparently a lieutenant in the army! Salute, and the army 'dog-tags'!

And this guy is a Project Runway designer, and I noticed he's actually holding a clothes hanger. That's pretty cool. :)

(All photos belong to Adam Bouska.)

Ohhhh freaking damn. I just realized that the sun has already freaking risen, and I'm still not asleep. This is the kind of lifestyle I lead during holidays after O's last year, when it was allowed! I'm supposed to get my sleeping cycle right, now that I have school, not to mention exams coming up soon! -_-' Crap.. Crap crap crap.

Okay, you know what? I'm gonna try my hardest to go get some sleep now. Till next post, chaoo people. =S

Break break break.

I have Internet again, muahaha. I just read a couple of Bio chapters, and need a well-deserved break. so I'm gonna blog randomly now. :D

I think I have a natural-inborn ability to sleep at odd hours, I swear. -_-' Finished class today and reached home around maybe 3.45 pm, and instead of doing something productive like STUDYING or LAUNDRY, I proceed to change into home clothes, and then crash out and sleep till like.. 9.30 pm. Basically, I just woke up not too long ago, and this would mean I will sleep very late again later, and would thus probably wake up late for class tomorrow. Again. -_-' Awesome.

Speaking of waking up late for class, I actually made it to ALL my morning classes this week. :D I feel like giving myself a gold star, seriously. I mean, I actually went for Media& Comm lecture Wednesday, and English Lit this morning - I haven't gone for M&C for the past 5 weeks (approx., I guess), and Lit for the past 2 weeks. :D So this is progress!

Which brings me to 'the bet'. So a bunch of us were having lunch (scones at Animal Orchestra!) today, when they all said they would be willing to bet I would not be able to NOT miss class in Term 3. What supportive friends these are. -_-''' Like, not one of them was willing to bet that I won't miss class in Term 3! So I'm set to prove them wrong. :D Not like I'll gain anything else besides perfect attendance, but it'll so be worth it to prove them wrong!

[About 2 weeks ago, I had already made a bet with Vincent saying that I would go to all my classes that week, and totally lost. -_-' I made it through the first day, but promptly missed class on the second day of the bet. =( ]

So anyways. The upper level of Animal Orchestra is pretty cool - their walls were covered with mirrors, and they had all these low, almost bohemian-like couches and low tables. After that, I kind of tuned out of the conversation to take a picture of myself in the mirror I was sitting opposite. Yes, very vain, I know. Can you guys see how rounded my face has become? Especially from this angle. I am fat. -_-'' [The bf says I'm merely 'chubby', but we all know that is a polite synonym for FAT! :( ]

Okay, I'm gonna move on to something totally unrelated. Mmm. For this week's History of Ideas tutorial class on Tuesday, we had a trip scheduled to the National Gallery of Victoria in the Ian Potter Centre on Federation Square, so the people in my class all had to make our way down there via tram after first period.

Because Tuesday happens to be the day the big gallery is closed, we unlucky people who have HOI tuts on Tuesday had to settle for the small gallery instead. (Talk about totally unfair - Monday, Wednesday-Friday tutorial classes get to go the big gallery. -_-')

Upon arrival at the gallery and meeting our tour guide, she tells us that when the previous class (who had first period HOI, ours was second period) was there, there was a fire drill, and they all had to run out of the building, and the thing was that they didn't know it was a fire drill, so they were actually freaked out and stuff. So basically, they got freaked out for nothing, and had no gallery tour. AHAHA, I'm sorry, but the word 'suckers' immediately came to my mind when I heard this. :P Talk about a waste of time, AHAHAH.

Soo anyways, here are a few pictures from the visit:

Painting of Tasmanian Aborigines.

I thought this particular one was cool - it's Swanston Street in the olden days! I live on this street. :P It really makes you think about just how much places can develop and change over a period of time.

Besides our group, there were a lot more other school field trips going on at the same time, the teachers had to actually wait for their turns to show some paintings. Hmm, I guess that group was from some private high school.

This painting was pretty cool too - see how it's divided into 3 panels? It's actually what happened over time. In the first panel, a farmer arrives at a completely new piece of land, and clears it and stuff. In the second panel, some time has passed, and the farmer now has a wife and child. It's not really clear in the third panel, but industries and factories have been set up - in the distance - and the farmer's grave is there, and some unknown guy is kneeling down and paying respect to it.

[HAHAHA, it IS a History of Ideas class, of course it consists of boring history. :P ]

There were field trips from primary schools too! Extremely cute kids learning history, aww! :D

Can you read what it says? :P

This one was from the Aborigine wing of the gallery. Racism was a big issue back in those days. It actually still is now, come to think of it. :S

Outside: the view of Flinder's Station.

The Ian Potter centre. Our tour guide told us to compare how different the two buildings are - Flinder's is obviously a building of older design, while there is modern architecture incorporated into the Ian Potter centre.

Group pic of the girls! :)

I feel like I'm seriously deprived of contact with children! :( :( They're soooo adorable, eee. Look at their cute colourful clothes and umbrellas!

The younger one even waved to us, eeeee! :) Adorable!

We finished the tour early, and headed to 'the Pacific' for their infamous duck rice. Table 23! :D

I then had my drama exam after lunch.

ARGH. I think I really screwed it up. Which is disappointing, because I did practice beforehand (well, much more than the first term exam anyways), and it constitutes 10% of our final English grade, so it's really worth quite a lot. It's actually easy to score too, because for one thing, there's no studying required. Boo. I'm really disappointed. =/

Ahh, well. What's done is done. So I was in the Swanston building after my monologue exam, and Justy came in wearing a really hideous green jacket with black stripes. :O :O It's like.. a green zebra. Anyways, so we were bored, and decided to switch jackets for a while.

Jan's comment was something like "It's funny how he actually can fit into your jacket quite well". AHAHA. Look at how oversized his ugly green zebra jacket is on me.

He then proceeded to go to class with my jacket, and refused to come out, so I actually waited for him to finish class. -_-' Because there was no way I was walking home in that atrocity of a jacket! Urgh. Thankfully, the class happened to finish like 40 mins earlier.

Lam had this really long black trenchcoat on, and he said people had been calling him a 'vampire' the whole day because of it, thus the (failed) attempt to look like one in the picture.

Candid of (Famous) Amos, courtesy of Aaron.

HAHA. My life is so boring, that I always end up blogging about celebrities these days. But this one is really good, because I found out that...

CHRIS PINE IS SINGLE AGAIN! :D

MUAHAHA. Remember how I said he was with Audrina Patridge? (See previous post) Well, that apparently was only a fling, HAHAHA.

According to Famous,

"Rumour has it Chris ditched his latest squeeze, The Hills star Audrina Patridge after just two weeks because he thought 'dating a reality show star would tarnish his image", says a mole."

Okay, this may arguably be considered as 'player' behaviour, but I don't care. :D I knew he shouldn't be dating a total bimbo like Audrina, HAHAHA. He should totally be dating someone pretty and hot... like Camilla Belle. Or Blake Lively. But then again, they're both taken by Joe Jonas and Penn Badgely respectively. =/

Oh btw! Speaking of Joe Jonas, have you guys seen the video on YouTube of him dancing to Beyonce's 'Single Ladies'? It's apparently in a bid to promote the Jonas Brothers' latest album, and it totally convinced me how right I was about how gay I think they are. I mean, I really don't deny that they do produce good music... but yep, that's about it!

I can't believe I actually made it through the whole thing. -_-' Wow.

Hmm. Have any of you guys wondered why people (especially in the US!) are so obsessed with Twitter? :S

'The Soup' is totally awesome, kudos to Joel McHale! :P

Because I always have! Is it really so fun 'twittering' a minimum of 10 times a day to let people know what's up with you? Sounds pretty tiring to me, having to log onto Twitter a few times a day, to 'tweet'.

A few weeks ago, I actually succumbed to joining Twitter - but deleted my account 5 minutes after I created it. Because I realized it really isn't for me, how are you supposed to keep up with everyone's tweets if everyone is tweeting so many times a day? I attempted to 'follow' Ashton Kutcher on Twitter in that 5 mins, and it was so difficult! So I gave up and opted to delete my account instead. :S

Woah, I just attempted to look up 'tweet' on Urban Dictionary, and you won't believe how many words they've made up with regards to Twitter. A few examples:

---
tweetover - A Tweetover is like a sleepover, except instead of chilling with a buddy you tweet all night.

An example: ZOMG I can't sleep! Time for a tweetover!
---
tweetless -
Refraining from tweeting. Finding that you have nothing to tweet or write. Drawing a blank when contemplating your Twitter page. Also used when one is stunned or surprised by something viewed on Twitter.

An example: With nothing to do but describe my latest latte buying excursion I suddenly found myself tweetless.
---
tweetist - A person that follows you around and updates your Twitter for you so you do not have to.

Example:

Person 1: Who is that?
Person 2: Oh, that is my Tweetist. He is making sure that my friends know what I am doing all the time.
---
tweetwhore -

1. Tweetwhore, or "tweet whore" is a term used on Twitter to describe a person who measures seniority by one's numerical tweet count.

2. The act of 'tweeting' large amounts of meaningless tweets on Twitter.

3. One who floods the Twitter updates with tweets in order to gain a higher tweet count.

Example: Karen is such a tweetwhore, she sent 500 tweets on Twitter in only ONE HOUR.

Haha, I think Urban Dictionary is a good read. It's fun to just visit and read what new words people have submitted into the 'dictionary'. Which is pretty similar to FMyLife and and Engrish Funny, these are sites where you can just visit randomly and have a good laugh. :P

Okay. Enough ranting, I've really gotta get back to studying. Exams in like 8 days, crap. :(

Till next post, chaoo!
